The rumor flying around Atlanta is that today was the last day for 99x personality Jimmy Baron. I'm not crushed by this, in fact I could care less except that it's someone getting laid off and I know how that feels.

Jimmy's wife is Lisa Baron. Ring a bell? She is a columnist for Sunday Paper, an online magazine that deals with life in and around Atlanta. I've read a few of her articles over the past months and found some of then amusing, but not much more than that. But I did some googling and according to thinkprogress.org, she has written some saucy articles for Sunday Paper. Topics included the size of her Vagina and discussing it with her father-in-law, bisexual plumbers, and "...tantric, rabid, back-breaking, aerobic, primal, lengthy, suspended-from-the-ceiling, extracurricular, shout-it-from-the-hill-tops sex..."

You ready for the kicker? She's also the spokesperson for Ralph Reed. Remember Ralph Reed? Yes, he's the former President of the Christian Coalition and current uber-right candidate for Lt. Governor.

Sure this brings up many questions about what the Religious Right represents and what one of their spokespeople writes about for money. As I started to write about the contradictory nature of this relationship, I realized I was coming dangerously close to plagiarism.
