Random bullets of love

-I love the holiday season. Especially the sights, sounds, and smells. Putting the ideas of peace, love, and joy center stage doesn't hurt either.

-I have two more services and my run of Christmas gigs for 2007 will be complete. I've enjoyed the work, the people and the paychecks, but I'm ready to go back to sleeping in on Sundays.

-The schedule for the 2008 World Series of Poker was released recently and I'm seriously entertaining the thought of entering one of the events. Specifically, Event 32, starting on Tuesday, June 17th. Not that I'm making plans or anything. But if I was, I would say that I've made a list of books to read, people to talk to and specific bad habits that I must break before I think about doing this. I'm not doing this without preparing, so we'll see how much preparation I get done. I'll also go ahead and say this; if I do go through with this, (70% sure) I will be selling pieces of myself if you're interested.

-Ron Paul continues to impress me with his and his supporters tenacity.

-At the risk of sounding like a redneck; I'm going to cry when Larry Munson dies. I'm probably not alone in this, but I'm just throwing it out there now so there are no surprises.

-As with most books or articles he authors; Christopher Hitchens gets it right.

-Whoever had the brilliant idea to shut down a lane of Peachtree St at rush hour so that the workers could dig up most of 7th street should be drug behind my car everyday for the next year. It took me 25 minutes to go 3 blocks.
